Job Description:
This is a senior role and involves managing a team of project managers for industry and academic projects. The person is accountable for meeting the overall deliverables of the projects that BTI undertake. The person will provide operational support and clear lines of communication and engagement with multiple stakeholders internally and externally.
Supporting you will be a team of project managers who will assist you in driving opportunities from concept to project delivery.
This can include but not limited to:
- Manage and prioritize a pipeline of collaboration opportunities for BTI and driving them to successful closure and then ensuring successful delivery.
- Lead and support a team of project managers with internal and external stakeholders to establish communication plans, build project schedules and establish clear project deliverables and milestones.
- Lead the project teams to manage and implement project changes and interventions to achieve project deliverables and mitigate risk.
- Able to drive projects to closure, resourceful in overcoming technical and bureaucratic hurdles, exercising good judgement in escalating to management where needed.
- Lead the project managers to ensure compliance with SOPs, guidelines and practices so as to meet quality reviews and audit requirements.
- Provide regular updates on the status of projects to management.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Infectious Diseases, Immunology or related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Good communication skills as the role requires interaction with diverse project teams, internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with project management, developing and implementing project plans with a diverse group of project managers.
- Demonstrate experience of developing and maintaining key project documentation to a high standard.
- Highly motivated and able to work independently.
- PMP certification is desirable.
